What to do during in an emergency
When in doubt, it’s best to bring your pet in right away — better safe than sorry!
Here at Upper Keys Veterinary Hospital, we can always see your pet during an emergency, at least when we’re in the office.
We are constantly striving to provide you and your pets with the best care possible. We understand your pet's health doesn't follow a 9-5 schedule and sometimes concerns may come up after hours. In an effort to also provide work life balance to our staff we have decided to partner with an after hours medical help line called Guardian Vets. This complimentary service will provide you after hours veterinary advice. If you have an after hours medical concern with your pet simply call our practice and you will have access to a veterinary professionals recommendations at no charge! The veterinary professional will help you triage your pet’s symptoms and advise the best course of action. If the issue is non-emergent they will help you request an appointment for the next business day! Our goal is to provide you the best customer service possible and always be there for you and your pet. If you have any questions please contact us at 305-400-0747.
If this is a true emergency, you’ll need to bring them to a trusted nearby emergency hospital that we recommend, Marathon Veterinary Hospital. They’re located at 5001 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050, and you can reach them at 305-743-7099.
Between these daytime and after hours services, you can rest assured that there’s a veterinarian available to help your pet 24/7, should they ever need care right away.
